Awesome Import Model Lounge at the 2015 Import Drag Racing Circuits (IDRC) Instafame Event

This is the first time we cover the IDRC event here in the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, CA.  Partly it's the drag racing motor sport that piqued our interest; partly it's the import model lounge that they organizer put together that attracted our attention!

Upon arriving at the venue, which is in the back of the racetrack, beyond the go kart arena, we met the friendly and very homie crew to help us through the entrance and parking.  Immediately you can tell that this is a very easy going community with tons of comradery.  We will have a separate coverage of the racing actions, cars and vendors in our Wheels section.

 Tugged inside many cool import cars and crowded food trucks, there was a big tent with many tables as the official model lounge.  The model lounge is a good size that can easily hold 30 or 40 models.  When we showed up, there were already a handful of models that set their works up and happily chatting with people and fans.  We saw several highly recognizable faces, including Nicole Leigh, Lisa Lee Marie, as well as our new friend, Catherine Lynn, and other new faces to us.  We did a quick survey and calculation, we concluded that this is any photographer or model fan's dream opportunity.  The ratio of models vs photographers or fans is very high.  That spells great time knowing your models and more time taking pictures.

We  had a wonderful time, and we highly applaud the efforts of setting up the model lounge and having awesome models at the show.  Overall, IDRC has done a tremendously great job in bringing the local drag racing fans together, and provided a safe competition environment, and a great time for a weekend.  It's total success and we look forward to the next one later this year!
